When we got the call from Siobhan at A + E Networks to feature on an upcoming advert for U.K. television channel Blaze we were absolutely delighted. Blaze is a British teleivison channel that launched on the 20th of September and is famous for airing much loved programmes such as Pawn Stars, Mountain Men and American Restoration.
Siobhan explained that they wanted a Vegas Showgirl to walk across the set and switch on a large illuminated sign featuring the logo Blaze and naturally she booked the Supreme Showgirls – the UK’s premier provider of Vegas Showgirls.
We arrived in central London on the day of filming excited for the day ahead – we absolutely love fiming work and have become seasoned pro’s now with our filming for Betfred, Come Dine With Me and Michael Mcintyre’s Big Show – to name just a few!
On the day we were shown to our stunningly spacious dressing room complete with beautiful hollywood mirrors and the largest selection of showgirl make up you have ever seen in your life! Our runner for the day was Tom, who was on hand to greet us and served us with one of many cappuccino’s – thank you Tom, you were an absolute angel on the day and made sure all of our needs were met.
On set we met with our extremely talented make-up artist Lynda Darragh – we can honestly say that Lynda delivered the most incredible Vegas Showgirl make-up we have ever experienced in our 7 year history. Two weeks prior to meeting Lynda made up the cast of the Greatest Showman opening number for the Brits featuring Hugh Jackman. When she told us this, we knew she was going to be incredible. Once on Set, Sophie was prepped by the casting director on how they wanted her to walk and present as she switched on the Blaze sign. She was also joined on set by an Elvis impersonator at one point and there is some great footage of the pair of them dancing – we hope this is kept in the advert! The advert will be released very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
