We couldn’t believe it when we got the call last month, to feature on Michael Mcintyre’s promotional advert for his Big Show. We received the call on the Friday night asking if we had 4 glamorous Vegas Showgirls to feature on the promotional advert for Michael Mcintyre’s show which was due to be filmed the following day. Without hesitation, of course we said YES! The producer explained we would be on BBC 1 and featured before one of our favourite television programmes – The Voice.
Therefore, on the Saturday morning I packed up our beautiful showgirl feathers and headed down to London, with 4 of my glamorous showgirls. The advert and show was being filmed at the stunning Theatre Royal Drury Lane, which is currently featuring Charlie and the chocolate factory. We felt like stars being ushered through the stage door as we headed up to our personal dressing room!
In the dressing room, we adorned ourselves with sequins, feathers and lots of showgirl glamour in preparation to meet Michael and film our television debut. We of course had time for a photoshoot session before we were called down and here are a couple of photos of our girls before we headed down to film the advert.
Once we were ready, the lovely Ross called us down ready to run through the advert. It was amazing being side stage as the acts were preparing on stage to film Michael’s Big Show. Tinie Tempah actually walked past us and said hello… needless to say we were a little starstruck! We watched him and his dancers perform ‘girls like’ and naturally had to have a little boogie side stage…
Side stage, we were met with magicians, dancers, production staff and many more.. we couldn’t believe how many people go into making a promotional advert that is only 3 minutes! After we had gone through what we were going to do, we met the main man himself. Michael was exactly as you imagine him… bubbly and a larger than life character! He said how glamorous we looked and thanked us for being a part of his show.
We had an absolutely amazing time filming the advert for you Michael and should you need any Vegas Showgirls again… you know who to call!
